Create Channels

A channel is a part of the structure of your platform. In order to be able to upload livestreams and videos you need a channel to publish it to. You create a new channel in "content - channels".

In the channel tab you see all the channels on the platform and you are able to click on them to edit them.

Read more about how to structure the content of the platform here.

Set up a new channel

Go to content - channel and press create channel.

Add info of your channel

Name: Set a name. For example the team, topic or anything that is relevant to its content. Mandatory.
Description: Write a description of what the channel contains. This is displayed in the channel page.
Collection: Select what collection the channel should be included to. It could be included in one or multiple. This is for structure and a way to divide the content on the platform. Mandatory.
Tags: This is used in the component channel feed and makes it possible to connect a tag to a content row by default. This is optional.
Path: Set a path to your channel. We recommend this naming convention: "channelname-platformname" for example "testchannel-staylivedemo". This for making the path unique. Mandatory.
Website: Add a url to a external website if you would like to display it on the channel page.
Expose: Check this box if you would like the content of the channel to be displayed on the platform.
Channel image: Here you can add an image to the channel, for example a team logo. This is displayed in the channel page.
Internal notes: Internal notes of the channel. For example contact information to someone who is in charge of the platform.

Press "create channel" at the bottom of the page to create it. The channel will be listed in "content - channels" and you are able to edit the channel information at any time by clicking on the channel name.
