# Clips - Video

|| Clip parts of an existing video to upload as a separate file **or** convert clip to video in the same procedure. 
|| Clipping a video is available for 30 days after the video was created.

**How to:**
1. Dashboard --> Content --> Videos.
2. Select the video you want to clip.
3. Click on **Clips** in the menu followed by **Create new clip**.

4. Use the brackets to select the time interval in the video you want to clip. You can also use the panel/buttons.
5. **Name** your clip followed by **Create clip**.

6. The clip is now on the "Clip overview" where you now can:
* Rename clip
* Download
* Copy download link
* Delete

7. If you have chosen to download your clip, you can now upload it as a separate video in Dashboard --> [https://docs.staylive.io/en/article/upload-video-hyx81i/](Upload video)

|| The Clips overview will present all potential clips that you have made for the unique original video.

8. On the clips overview, you can convert the clip to a video directly instead of downloading it first.
